Destiny Glitch Reveals Future DLC Details (Update)

Update:

Addressing these reports of the upcoming expansion pack details being leaked, Bungie Community Manager David Dague went on their forums and issued this statement (via Game Informer):

Hey, Bungie Community.

I hope you had a nice weekend.

We noticed that you noticed that we already have plans for upcoming content packs in Destiny.

We do! They have activity names (which may or may not change) and we have a really good idea what they’re going to contain. They even have placeholder nodes in the Director, as you’ve already discovered.

But neither of the Expansion Packs we’ve announced are finished.

People at Bungie are hard at work to complete content for our first post launch pack, “The Dark Below,” as I type these words. It will be finished soon. It releases in December. Soon, we’ll detail it out for you so you can see exactly what we’ve been working on.

Thanks for playing. Thanks for the passion. We know you want details. We’ll talk more soon.

For those of you who may have missed it, patch 1.02 for Destiny goes live this week.

Original Story:

A glitch experienced by some Destiny players has revealed additional information pertaining to the upcoming expansion packs for the game. A video posted by YouTube user Scott M (below) shows him experiencing the bug, which ended up unveiling every mission on the map.

Another Destiny player, Ben Kinsella, also experienced the glitch, and consequently posted a video of it (below) on YouTube.

Both videos bring up some new information on the expansion packs that we’re already aware of; The Dark Below and The House of Wolves. It also shows the upcoming Iron Banner event scheduled for October. According to a post on NeoGAF:

You are able to glitch yourself into some of these places on Earth and see enemies in them.

The first DLC will include 4-5 missions, two strikes (one on earth, one on Mars), 1 raid (on Moon) and 3 crucible maps.

Second DLC there is less details but I assume again 4-5 missions, 2 strikes, and 1 raid (which takes place in the reef).

The screen shot gallery below highlights new details that emerged regarding the aforementioned events.

It’s not clear whether the leaked DLC content is already on the Destiny game disc or not, but it is believed that the content is partially on the disc.
