Sony has just announced the release of the PlayStation Official League, an eSports program for the PS4 that will feature numerous competitive games, such as Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, DriveClub, FIFA 15, and more.
The PlayStation Official League is launching in Spain tomorrow, with no word yet on when it will be hitting other countries. Portugal and Italy will be getting the program next, Sony announced. The gaming league will be free to join if players are PS Plus subscribers.
The idea behind the league is that there will be ‘seasons,’ during which time players accrue points to build up their rank. At the end of the season, it appears as if players will receive prizes, although what those prizes might be has not yet been announced.
