Resident Evil Revelations 2 Price Options Explained, All About Content vs. Cost

Mike Lunn, Associate Brand Manager at Capcom, recently explained on the official PlayStation Blog that although it is pricier, it is best not to buy each episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 individually, but to instead by them in a bundle.

While he could just be trying to sell the most expensive item, Lunn explained that each of the four episodes will be $5.99 on their own, totally around $24. The Complete Season, however, is set to cost $24.99, when normally buying a season pass gives the buyer a discount.  Lunn noted that this is because there will be some extra content thrown in there.

Download the Complete Season to get access to all 4 story episodes (with accompanying RAID content) as they become available and a few pieces of additional bonus content that we’ll detail at a later time.

He then brings up the retail disc, which will be a whopping $39.99, a full $15 more than the other two options. This, he says, is because the disc will feature more bonus content than the Complete Season and much more content than buying the epsiodes indivicually.

The full RE Revelations 2 experience containing all 4 story episodes (with accompanying RAID content) and even more bonus content (than the Complete Season) all on a physical retail disc.

Content-wise, it looks like the disc version of Resident Evil Revelations 2 might be the best option, but will it really be worth the extra $15? What do you think? The game will be out sometime in 2015 for PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
