PS4-Exclusive Title Rime Won’t be About “Killing Monsters”

In a recent interview with Gamereactor, Tequila Works creative director Raúl Rubio Munárriz discussed the upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive title Rime, and mentioned that the game won’t be about “killing monsters.”

Unlike many other games that are being made today, Rime will focus mostly on exploration, with the act of killing monsters not really being in the picture. Munárriz mentioned that the open-world game will invoke “feelings of loneliness,” and will have numerous puzzles that players must solve in lieu of mercilessly killing things.

If you like exploration, I think you’re going to love Rime. If you like killing monsters, don’t expect that (…) we’re moving away from Hollywood

Currently, neither Sony or Tequila Works has announced a release date for Rime, although hopefully we will see it out sooner rather than later. What do you think about this game? Is this something you would want to explore?
