Blizzard Entertainment has just announced a brand new PC multiplayer shooter, Overwatch. Speaking about the game in a panel during Blizzcon, the developer dropped a slight hint that the title may come to consoles some day.
When asked about a console release, Game director Jeff Kaplan said that he was only able to confirm a PC release. However, he also said with regard to a console version:
That sounds awesome; that sounds really, really cool. We would love to see Overwatch played on whatever it could be played on.
While this statement doesn’t confirm anything, it does give us a bit of hope. Overwatch is an action-packed, team-based multiplayer shooter, which looks a bit similar to Valve’s free-to-play shooter Team Fortress 2.
