Xbox One Finally Reaches 10 Million Units Sold to Retailers, Microsoft Claims It Has Outsold PS4 in Past Two Weeks

(Ed’s Note: Updated the title to make it clear that it has sold 10 million to retailers and not to consumers [sold-in as opposed to sold-through]).

According to Xbox’s Corporate Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Business Yusuf Mehdi, the Xbox One has outsold the PS4 for the last two weeks.

Mehdi also mentioned that the Xbox One has sold over 10 million consoles to retailers since it has been out. While that number is certainly nothing to scoff at, it still cannot yet compete with total PS4 sales, which were reported to be around 13.5 million units sold at the end of September. Not to mention that Sony reached the 10 million until sold mark with the PS4 around three months ago, meaning that the Xbox One has a bit of catching up to do.

Speaking of sales, is has been revealed that a number of Black Friday sales, including ones at Best Buy, Target, and Walmart, will be selling PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles, bundles, and games for fairly cheap prices. If you feel like buying video games this month, it might not be a bad idea to check out the offers.

What do you think of the Xbox One outselling the PS4 this month? Are you going to partake in an Black Friday video game shopping? Let us know in the comments.
