Nintendo of America President Says Wii U is a Better Value Than PS4, Xbox One

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime explained why the Wii U is a better value than the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

In his interview, he tried to tell listeners why they should get the Wii U, rather than the Xbox One or the PS4. He listed numerous reasons, including the games offered on the Nintendo console and the overall value of the console.

We convince them with the games. So as an example, you can only play Mario Kart 8–this fabulous game that has sold millions of copies across the world–only on the Wii U because of the enhanced capabilities, the HD graphics, the new elements that we bring to bear for that particular game.

He then explained that the Wii U will be only $299 this holiday season, and it will come with two games. However, both of the games that Fils-Aime mentioned, Super Mario 3D World and NintendoLand, have been out for quite a while at this point.

Compared to the numerous Black Friday PS4 bundles, the Wii U bundle is a bit lackluster. What do you think of Fils-Aime’s assertions? Do you think the Wii U is a better value and has better games?
