Adding yet another item to the list of world premieres we can expect at The Game Awards 2014 on Friday at 6pm PT/9pm ET, EA COO Peter Moore said, “I’m looking forward to joining Geoff Keighley on stage Friday night in Las Vegas at The Game Awards to make a special announcement from EA.”
While Moore didn’t offer up any further hints, The Game Awards Producer Geoff Keighley added, “Pretty sure no one will guess this one! See you Friday.”
Moore then teased that he’ll also be on stage Saturday during the Sony keynote during PlayStation Experience. Poking a little fun at Moore, PlayStation’s Adam Boyes replied, “I’m looking forward to having Peter Moore on our stage on Saturday for PS Experience – Anything up your “sleeve”?”
Getting back to The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley said, “Just left a crazy top secret rehearsal that reminds me what I decided to do this on Friday night. Very special stuff coming together.” As for the show itself, it should run between 2 – 2.5 hours and won’t feature any “gamers are potheads” jokes.
For another potential world premiere tease, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Game Director Josef Fares said, “Make sure to watch The Game Awards on Friday ;).”
Finally, Brad Douglas of Global Third-Party Relations at PlayStation confirmed that PlayStation Japan (SCEI, SCEJA, Japan Studio) will be present at PS Experience.
What do you think the EA announcement might be?
