Uncharted 4 Gameplay Video Was Running at 1080p/30fps, Game is in Pre-Alpha

During PlayStation Experience over the weekend, Sony and Naughty Dog revealed a lengthy gameplay video for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which also revealed Nathan’s brother, who is played by Troy Baker.

To give us a little more information about the gameplay and status of Uncharted 4’s development, Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli went on the Naughty Dog website, revealing that what you saw was running at 1080p/30fps:

Although we are still in the pre-alpha stage of development, everything you see in the video is in-game and in real-time running at 1080p and a stable 30hz. It’s looking pretty spectacular already and we still have quite some time to optimize and refine our technology to make this the best looking and playing Uncharted game to date.

Monacelli added that we’ll learn more about Nathan Drake’s brother, why Drake is on an island, what he’s searching for, who’s shooting at him and why he’s shooting back soon, with those details “trickling” out. He finished by saying, “2015 is going to be awesome.”
