Almost out of nowhere, Switch Galaxy Ultra from Atomicom launched today in Europe for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita at £11.99 (PlayStation Plus members save 10%), complete with cross-buy, cross-play, and cross-save. In North America, the game launches on December 23.
Running at 60fps on both systems, and 1080p on PS4, Switch Galaxy Ultra includes 55 levels that get increasingly more difficult as you progress, complete with speed-ups, teleporters, jumps, enemy ships, bombs, and “much, much more.” There will also be challenges, online multiplayer, leaderboards, and a total of six new ships, all of which are fully upgradeable.
Atomicom Managing Director Gary Nichols talked about the piece of charity DLC for Switch Galaxy Ultra:
We’re very proud to announce that the Charity Pack, which supports Caudwell Children, features licensed music from Nero, Chase & Status, Modestep, and Kove. All the proceeds from the sale of this pack go to help this amazing charity who support poor, sick, and disabled children, so please dig deep and help us support them by buying the pack.
