Adding to the list of countries where the PlayStation 4 has crossed 1 million units sold since launch, Sony Computer Entertainment France announced today that the PS4 has reached the mark in France.
Achieving this faster than any console in the history of the country, PlayStation France MD Philippe Cardon talked about the milestone:
The demand for PS4 is still very strong since launch, even stronger than PlayStation 2, which was the best-selling console ever until the launch of PS4 and we’re thrilled with the response from gamers.
From launch, our main focus has been making PS4 ‘The Best Place to Play’, so we’re delighted that so many gamers have made it their system of choice. We’d like to thank them for their amazing support and feedback so far, and assure them that their PS4 experience will only get better in the months and years to come.
As of October, the PS4 has shipped over 13.5 million units worldwide. Even though it was beaten by the Xbox One in November in the US, the busy holiday season will no doubt give a considerable boost to sales, and the system even saw a jump in Japan last week.
When Sony announces the next worldwide PS4 sales figure, what do you expect it to be at? 15 million 17.5 million? 20 million?
