Let’s face it, not every planned good idea comes to fruition as planned, which can be said the same for megaton announcements, too. So, which one disappointed the PSLS staff the most? Fortunately for you, it’s a short list to go through.
We’re naming our fave video game personality for the year in the next page! You wouldn’t want to miss that.
Biggest Disappointment
Final Fantasy VII PC Port Coming to PS4
When Square Enix took the stage at PSX with a large Final Fantasy VII logo emblazoned behind them, many people hoped for news of a remake. Instead we were trolled with the announcement of a port of the PC release coming to the PS4.
DriveClub Network Issues and no PS+ Release
Launching with a number of server issues that crippled the very foundation the game was built on, the delayed DriveClub saw one of the messiest releases in history, and the free PlayStation Plus version still isn't available yet.
The Last Guardian Not Shown
Many people hoped that confirmation of The Last Gaurdian still being in development was a sign that we would see something about the game this year, but 2014 came and went without even the smallest peek at this anticipated game.
And the Winner is...
DriveClub Network Issues and No PS+ Release
DriveClub is based on the ability to play on the network with asynchronous multiplayer to log a variety of challenges. Upon launch, the entire system failed and ruined the very core of the game. Add to this that the network issues pushed back the release of the PlayStation Plus free version, which was originally supposed to be out at the launch of the PS4, and Driveclub is definitely the biggest disappointment of the year.
