For the second year in a row, the PlayStation 4 is the best-selling console in the UK, according to GfK Chart-Track data obtained by MCV UK for 2014.
Detailed figures for each console weren’t given, but the PS4 did cross 1 million sold in the UK this past September, while the Xbox One didn’t do it until November. As GfK adds, the PS4 was the UK’s best-selling machine on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it was the best-selling console in the final week of 2014, and it was the best-selling console in November and December combined (the Xbox One is said to have won November by itself).
This news comes shortly after Sony announced that 18.5 million PS4s have been sold worldwide since console launch.
