With no new releases to speak of, Grand Theft Auto V was able to steal first place away from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, despite a 51% drop in sales. Including this victory, GTAV has actually only been #1 five times since launch, but it is the fastest-selling game of all-time in the UK and the best-selling game of all-time in the UK.
It was a fairly straightforward week for the rest of the top 20, with Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag’s move from 27th to 11th – thanks to the Assassin’s Creed Xbox One bundle getting a sales spike – being the only notable change.
Here’s the top 20 selling retail games in the UK for the week ending January 10, 2015, according to GfK Chart-track:
- Grand Theft Auto V (down 51%)
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (down 61%)
