Resident Evil HD Has No Pre-Order Option for European PSN Users, Capcom Addresses Complaints

For some reason, PlayStation users in Europe are not able to pre-order Resident Evil HD through the European PS Store, leaving them unable to take advantage of the pre-order, cross-buy deal. Luckily, Capcom is planning on making it up them.

On their official blog, Capcom employee “NeilGortz” let potential Resident Evil HD buyers in Europe know that the company has not forgotten them. Anyone who buys the remake through the European PS Store during the first two weeks it is out will automatically get the game on both the PS4 and the PS3. In the US, only fans that pre-order the upcoming remake will receive both versions for free.

Unfortunately a pre-order for Resident Evil was not possible on Sony platforms. We are therefore offering cross-buy to anyone purchasing the game via the Sony Store in the first two weeks on sale.

It is not exactly known why a pre-order option is not available for the horror title in Europe, but at least Capcom is being generous about it. Do you plan on getting Resident Evil HD when it comes out on January 20 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC?
