Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Comes to PS4 & Xbox One in March 2015

Putting an end to the question of when Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel would wind up on the new consoles, 2K and Gearbox announced Borderlands: The Handsome Collection today, which releases on March 24 in North America and March 27 in Europe for $59.99.

Inside the Collection is both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, along with all of the DLC for both titles as of March 24, 2015 – a total of over $100. While full specs weren’t given, Gearbox says it will have the “high performance and graphical fidelity of next-gen consoles” at a “resolution and performance level never before seen in Borderlands on consoles.” Additionally, the Handsome Collection features four-player split-screen.

For those of you who already have a Borderlands 2 save file on PS3/PS Vita or a Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel save file on PS3, you can transfer it to PS4 via cross-save. As Gearbox explains, “Cross-save functionality must be between same console family. e.g., Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PlayStation 3/Vita to PlayStation 4.”

2K President Christoph Hartmann talked about Borderlands on the new consoles:

The Handsome Collection gives players the opportunity to experience the full arc of Handsome Jack’s rise and fall, from his not-so-humble beginnings on Elpis to becoming the tyrannical Hyperion CEO on Pandora, all in one value-packed bundle. This collection marks the Borderlands franchise’s official move to the next-gen platforms, and we’re proud to offer our fans the ability to continue playing with the characters they’ve built as they carry on adventuring in The Handsome Collection.

Here’s a look at all the DLC included inside the Handsome Collection:

Controlled through the iOS/Android ClaptrApp, the robot can move in all directions while balancing on one wheel, say lines in character, and live stream video to a mobile device through his eye.
