Hit video game actor Troy Baker, who starred in The Last of Us, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and many other games, recently mentioned in an interview with IGN that Uncharted 4‘s Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann are “made of steel” and are the “most brilliant directors.”
Baker, who will be playing Nathan Drake’s brother in Uncharted 4 when it comes out on the PlayStation 4 later this year, went on to say that he is “constantly humbled and impressed” by the directors, whom he first met when playing Joel in The Last of Us.
I’m consistently and constantly humbled and impressed and inspired by those guys… As a game designer, the way that [Straley’s] mind works leaves me in the dust. Neil is a very accomplished game designer as well, so having that asset, as well as being the most brilliant directors I’ve ever worked with, [they’re] just phenomenal.
He went on to say that while they have occasionally disagreed on certain things, “all that we care about, at the end of the day, is that our good is our better, and our better is our best.” What do you think about Troy Baker’s gushing review of Straley and Druckmann? Are you excited for Uncharted 4 to come out later this year?
