Resident Evil HD Remaster Comparison Video Pits PS4 vs PC

Resident Evil HD Remaster finally released yesterday, earning a high score from PlayStation LifeStyle and a number of other online publications. The remaster came out on a a variety of platforms, including PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, prompting Digital Foundry to create one of their comparison videos in order to let fans know whether the PS4 version or the PC version looks better.

The real-time comparison video shows about four minutes of side-by-side gameplay on the two systems. Although I couldn’t really tell the difference, I’m sure some people might be able to see right away that the PS4 version runs at 30fps, while the PC version runs at 60fps, giving the PC version a leg up right off the bat.

As the player walks through various locations in the video, it is fairly easy to see that the PC version has better shadows, lighting, and textures. Unfortunately for us PS4 players, it looks like PC version clearly has better graphics. Another game that was released yesterday — Saints Row IV: Re-Elected — also went under the microscope of Digital Foundry, and it was found that once again the PC version triumphed over the PS4 version.

What do you think of the Resident Evil HD Remaster comparison video? Do you also agree that the PC version looks better?
