Ah, zombies. The world just cannot get enough of beating this (un)dead horse. Techland is banking on the seemingly inexhaustible fervor for brains in its upcoming first-person zombie survival title Dying Light.

If you were a Mirror's Edge fan, you may want to keep an eye on Dying Light. It's certainly not the first zombie game, or the first game with parkour, but it's the first to combine them into something that hopefully turns out special. Get a taste of how the game might feel in real life.
An Open World With 30-40 Hours of Gameplay

Techland has said Dying Light is their most ambitious game. With gorgeous visuals and a huge open world (filled with 40 hours of gameplay), they aren’t kidding.
There Will Be Plenty of Toys

You’ll have more than a trusty machete to dismember the undead with on January 27, 2015. Alongside the usual staple of weapons, Dying Light also contains a plethora of traps with which to dispatch your enemies.
"Be the Zombie" Pre-Order Bonus is Now Free to All

If you’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to exist with half a face and an unquenchable desire for human flesh, you may want to consider pre-ordering Dying Light. Techland has revealed its PvP mode is currently a pre-order only bonus.
Good news has struck today! Techland has announced that the "Be the Zombie" DLC is now free to everyone.
Release Date Delay

If you’re in North America, the physical and digital versions of the game will be released on January 27, 2015. If you’re in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia, and planning to buy a physical copy, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Techland has said the delay will be short, but also pointed out the digital release will launch in all territories on January 27, 2015.

Lead Game Designer Maciej Binkowski and Producer Tymon Smektala played the game for over 90 minutes on Twitch.
Season Pass Has New Missions, Maps, Weapons

As is the case with many releases, Dying Light will have a sizeable Season Pass. With two new missions, seven unique items, a new map playable in single-player or co-op, gamers will have to decide if its worth the price of admission.
1080p/30fps

Techland confirmed that with the fast-paced and precise nature of the game, it found the best experience for players would be at 1080p resolution and 30fps.
Reviews Will Not Be Embargoed

Techland is aiming for complete transparency with its new title and wants fans to be able to make informed decisions. With no demo planned, reviews will be the best way for gamers to know if this game is for them.
There’s a Tie-In Novel

If you can’t get enough of Dying Light’s world, look no further than the tie-in novel. The prequel, titled “Nightmare Row,” will explore the events prior to the outbreak that decimated the city of Harran.
