In previous discussions about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s specs on consoles, CD Projekt Red has said they anticipated the PlayStation 4 version to reach 1080p “a little bit easier” than the Xbox One version, but, as of August 2014, it was too early to give frame-rate and resolution details as optimization was yet to be completed.
With the latest round of The Witcher 3 previews going live earlier today, German website Game Star is reporting that the game on PS4 runs at 1080p/30fps, adding that the textures are a bit more blurred than a PC on high settings. As for the Xbox One version, they say it was at 900p/30fps, though it could reach 1080p by launch, but CD Projekt Red wouldn’t promise anything.
Just in case something was lost in translation, we’ve reached out to CD Projekt Red for confirmation on the game’s specs.
Following its recent delay, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will launch on May 19, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
