Rumor: Destiny’s House of Wolves Coming Out in May, Leaked Pictures Show Gear (Update)

Update:

Bungie has officially responded to the leak, with Community Manager DeeJ posting about it on the Bungie website. In the post, he mentions that the images are indeed real, but are from the “pre-launch database” and are subject to change. This means the gear’s stats or textures could be toyed with, or they might not show up in the DLC at all.

Leaks are fun. I totally get it. Please discuss to your heart’s content. All we ask is that you leave your mind open to the evolutions that are inevitable. What you see here are very old ghosts from our pre-launch database. These are not the necessarily wolves you’re looking for.

Original Post:

Even though an image that leaked last month showed Destiny’s House of Wolves DLC set to come out in March, an apparent new leak has revealed that the DLC won’t actually come out until May 19.

Reddit user megamanexe4 recently posted online that, after finding a way to gain access to certain House of Wolves content, found that the DLC won’t be available to the public until sometime in May. The Reddit user also claims to have found information saying that the level cap will increase to 39 with certain DLC gear, and certain weekly activities will also increase their levels.

Of course, none of this information has been confirmed by Bungie or Activision, so don’t mark down a release date on your calendar just yet. However, megamanexe4 did post a number of assumed screenshots of the upcoming content and gear (they can be seen above), giving the rumor a little more substance. The screenshots are not in English, but the gist of what they represent is clear.

What do you think of all the apparently leaked information? Do you believe it? PlayStation LifeStyle has reached out to Activision for a statement, and will update you on any new information learned.
