Mortal Kombat X Won’t Have a Demo, Predator DLC Rumored to Come in June

Those excited to pull off Fatalities in Mortal Kombat X will have to wait until the game’s out on April 14, as a Mortal Kombat X demo won’t be happening at all, which is strange considering past games in the series got one weeks before release.

This was revealed by NetherRealm Studios chief Ed Boon over on Twitter when a fan asked “When is the demo coming out?” to which Boon replied “There is no demo.”

Executive producer Shaun Himmerick clarified that they are using the extra time that would have been spent to create a demo in polishing up the final game. He also revealed that we may be seeing a trailer revealing new characters and teasing the final boss before the month is over.

VideoGamer.com also reported that the game will be seeing a Predator DLC in June, and their source says that the pack will include the Predator himself as well as Colonel Al Dillon, a character from the original movie. There are no official announcements about the DLC, but as Mortal Kombat has a history of including fighters from outside of their own roster, and Ed Boon retweeted a teasing picture featuring Predator, we’ll consider this one a very likely proposition.

Are you disappointed the game won’t get a demo? Are you excited to get to play as the Predator? Let us know in the comments below!
