The VOTE allows you, the PSLS community, to cast your vote and determine once and for all which choice is definitively better. This is for all the marbles, and any other voting sort of analogies that you can think of. Feel free to discuss your choice in the comments below, but remember to keep it civil. We’ll have new votes every Wednesday, with results from the prior week posted at that time, so be sure to check back and make your voice heard.
First we’ll take a look at last week’s poll results. We asked whether you wanted to see games specifically designed for Project Morpheus, or if you wanted to see games that supported VR, but didn’t require it. In 270 votes, the debate stayed pretty much even, with games supporting VR sitting at 51%, games designed for Morpheus at 49%, and many comments stating that people were abstaining due to wanting both equally. Looks like everyone just wants Morpheus to be fully supported by Sony either way.
After GDC and PAX East provided us with new information and gameplay on both The Witcher III and Final Fantasy XV, it got us thinking about RPG styles and which one people prefer. JRPGs such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and Suikoden often use turn-based battle systems, parties of characters, and a rigid leveling structure. Western RPGs like Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, and The Witcher use real time battle systems and allow your character more freedom in leveling. While some aspects of each genre may cross over depending on the game, we wanted to know which one you think is better. Is it going to be Western RPGs or JRPGs? You decide, in this week’s VOTE.
