Bloodborne Remote Play Re-Mapping and Touchpad Uses Revealed

Planning to play Bloodborne on your PlayStation Vita? If so, you’re undoubtedly curious as to how the DualShock 4 controls translate to the Vita’s.

In a post on the EU Sony Blog, Sony Computer Entertainment Community Manager Sid Shuman talked about his most recent hands-on impressions of the game, as well as how Bloodborne Remote Play controls work. While the usual face buttons work the same, we can now confirm how the Vita’s touchpad will be used for From Software’s upcoming action RPG.

According to Shuman, clicking the right side of the touchpad will show the “personal effects” like molotovs, notebook, and other stuff. Clicking the left side of the touchpad will show the available gestures, which can be triggered on the DualShock 4 via its internal motion sensor.

Additionally, Shuman listed how the Vita handles some of the DualShock 4’s extra buttons with some clever re-mapping.
