Following that big “Uncharted 4 delayed!111! !” news late last week , we here at PlayStation LifeStyle compiled our thoughts as to what it really means for Sony and PlaySation 4 gamers this year.
Most — if not all — the staff members think an Uncharted Trilogy Remaster is inevitable now that Drake’s next (and final?) game has been bumped off the year completely. But even so, almost everyone on staff is OK with it, since Naughty Dog has a very good track record when it comes to games.
Check below as to what each staff member thinks of the delay, and it’s even linked to each one’s Twitter as well just in case you want to harass them.
Do you agree with the staff? What do you think Sony’s solution will be as its big holiday 2015 game? Or it doesn’t matter since there’sa ton of AAA games coming anyway?
Now Loading is a recurring staff-drive feature where PlayStation LifeStyle discusses anything video game-related under the sun (yes, even non-Sony platforms).

Uncharted 4 Delay, What Will Sony Have for Fall 2015?

This is certainly a big blow for PlayStation 4 gamers everywhere, but I wouldn't be panicking just yet. Let's see first what Sony has up its sleeve come E3, and then we'll talk.
If you think about it, we're going to be playing (or have played) Dying Light, The Order: 1886, Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, Star Wars Battlefront, and a lot of other AAA games in this year alone. If Naughty Dog needs time to perfect Uncharted 4 , then so be it.
I do get the concern of many, though. But Sony's not cocky enough to have no big AAA gun for two years running, right?

With Uncharted 4 out of the running for 2015, I think we'll get another surprise at E3, like LittleBigPlanet 3 was last year. Hard to say which game could be a heavy hitter enough to take Uncharted 4 's place as the holiday console seller, but maybe Guerilla Games' new IP will be ready by that time? With Project Morpheus, Uncharted 4 , and so many other huge things right around the corner in 2016, Sony will want it to be something that could sell consoles to a wide audience, so we can bet on it being either a recognizable franchise or beloved developer filling that holiday release gap left by Naughty Dog.

I rarely ask for a remastering of previous-gen games, but I'd love to see the Uncharted Trilogy get this treatment. Naughty Dog nailed it with the beautiful 1080p 60fps The Last of Us, and I'm sure they would do a great job with Drake in full HD. It would also help scratch that itch for Uncharted fans awaiting the fourth instalment, while getting new fans all caught up on the action so far.

Honestly, I am not sure what Sony will be pushing in fall of 2015. No Man's Sky would be a possible title, but if rumors are true, it will be out before then. Star Wars Battlefront could be a major hit this holiday, but with so little information available who can tell. This means that Sony will probably have to drop something major at E3 this year, unless they are just looking to use multiple new IPs like The Witness instead of focusing on an established AAA franchise.

There's a chance that Sony changes the game this fall and pumps out high quality, exclusive PSN titles in the absence of one big blockbuster. Alienation, Rime and Everyone's Gone to the Rapture may not be on Uncharted's level individually, but when you include them all on one quarter's release schedule they pack quite the punch.
With the delay of Uncharted 4 , Sony has a gaping hole this fall and will need to fill it. PS4s have been selling like hot cakes and fans are thirsty for a blockbuster release. We know Sony Santa Monica has been working on a God of War PS4 title for some time. Since the other game they were working on was cancelled, it can be expected that they reveal God of War at E3 and push it up for release this November.
