Geometry Wars 3 Update Will Add 40 New Stages to Adventure Mode & More

March 31 is going to be a good day for owners of Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, as it’s when Sierra and developer Lucid Games will release a free update to the game, nearly doubling the content.

Turning the game into Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved, the update adds 40 new stages to Adventure mode, including new boss battles, 3D grid shapes, and gameplay types, as well as the Sweeper drone and Detonator super ability. The level gating system is also revised, making it “much easier” for you to progress.

Additionally, a number of improvements for die-hard Geometry Wars fans are coming, including Hardcore mode, which lets you take on 20 dedicated levels without using a drone or super, complete with individual leaderboards for no-loadout purists.

If you don’t own Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions yet, it will turn into Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved on March 31 through the various digital stores, still priced at the same $14.99.

Meanwhile, the PlayStation Vita version of the game remains slated for a Spring 2015 release.
