As if we needed more reasons to cover Bloodborne, Sony Asia has sent us a Bloodborne “teaser” package ahead of the game’s release next Tuesday.
Don’t expect any figures or t-shirts, though. You can check out the contents of the teaser package in the gallery below.
I admit, I’m on a self-imposed media blackout (irony isn’t lost, I know) when it comes to Bloodborne since I want to experience it as fresh as I can. Maybe the items in the box are related to the story? I honestly haven’t checked. Or maybe Sony just wants us to write the old fashioned way? Whatever the case, it’s one nifty package.
Stay tuned early next week for our official Bloodborne review to see if From Software’s debut PlayStation 4 game lives up to the hype.

Bloodborne Teaser Box
I had no clue what to expect when this landed on my desk. Unfortunately, that sticker won't come off lest I risk ruining the actual picture on the box.
Apologies for the super brightness. I'm not a good photographer, I admit.
-
Complete Teaser Package Layout
Here's what the box looks like when opened. There's the fountain pen, a sealed envelope, ink bottle, and a quill! All the items are placed neatly on a propped up piece of red paper, which seemed apt.

Items Without the Packaging
Here are all items without the box. It looks a bit "sadder" without the packaging, no?
-
Fountain Pen
It's an honest-to-god working fountain pen. I used the ink bottle and wrote a few scribbles, Not bad.
-
Ink Bottle
The only item in the box with an actual Bloodborne branding. It doubles as an ink bottle for the quill, and a dropper for the fountain pen. Anthony joked that I should drink the "potion." Maybe I will after getting frustrated with repeated deaths in-game.
-
Quill
Yep, this works, too. I'll be honest, writing using this thing is a bitch. It does look stylish, but I feel sorry for the ye olde folk who had to use this as a writing instrument.

Sealed Envelope
This one has a seal that I think is Bloodborne-related, but I honestly can't say. Inside it houses a few blank pieces of paper -- though I can't be 100 percent sure, since I don't want to ruin the seal by prying it open.
