With Payday 2 coming out on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in a few months, it’s nice to know that Overkill will be continuing developing new content for the game for a while longer.
In an announcement today from Starbreeze Studios and 505 Games, it was revealed that both free content and paid DLC will be created for Payday 2 for another two years. Some of this content, according to Starbreeze chairman Michael Hjorth, will be new modes and weapons.
The strategic partnership with 505 Games continues to strengthen us and the Payday investment alone doubles down on our previous spend. We will yet again see the Payday franchise being expanded with more heists, weapons, characters and even new game modes such as driving cars.
