Update:
The Spotify app is available today on PS4 and PS3. PlayStation France has since removed its tweet, but we can confirm that it was still up when we published the original report.
Original Story:
A tweet from the official PlayStation France Twitter account has revealed that the PlayStation Music service in partnership with Spotify will be launching on May 30. In response to a user’s question, the company said (translated), “Hello, the PlayStation Music service, in partnership with Spotify, will be available May 30.”
On the other hand, Ask PlayStation has said that the service will be coming “very soon” instead of giving a set date. It’s quite possible that the service will launch on different dates for different regions, but Sony has yet to confirm this.
PlayStation Music will launch in 41 markets around the world. Confirmed countries include Andorra, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UK and USA.
Are you looking forward to the service?
