If you’ve been keeping tabs on today’s big gaming news, chances are you’ve already seen DICE’s jaw-dropping Star Wars Battlefront reveal trailer. Impressed by it? Well, there’s more good news.
According to developer, the Star Wars Battlefront frame rate will be at 60 frames-per-second (fps) across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC! This was revealed by DICE Producer Craig McLeod, who also mentioned that “photo-realism” is high on DICE’s agenda.
We’re making sure, first and foremost, to ensure it runs at 60 frames per second on everything because that’s what delivers the best gameplay experience.” Alongside the game running at 60fps, it’s clear that graphical fidelity and photo-realism is high on the agenda for DICE.
Could Star Wars Battlefront hit the magic numbers of full 1080p/60fps? I highly doubt it, but even if the PS4 version runs at 900p and 60fps, that would be a sight to behold, no?
Let’s hope DICE rolls out PS4 gameplay footage soon, so we can judge the graphics — and frame-rate — for ourselves.
