Should it be like Battlefield with a Star Wars theme or should it be its own game? We talk about that, as well as discuss how we want Heroes to be implemented, and more. Do you agree with our assessment? If it was up to you, how should DICE handle Battlefront ? Sound off in the comments below, and let us know what game you want to see get The Ultimate treatment next.

While I don't think Battlefront on PS4 will look as good as the trailer, if it can even come close to it, and be fun, I'm one happy fan.
I have high hopes that with DICE's multiplayer pedigree, the core game will be solid. Let's just hope they iron out the kinks before launch, so we don't end up with another Battlefield 4 bug-fest in the first few months.
Will the graphics deliver? I think it will, but whatever DICE shows as PS4 gameplay, I expect a lot of fanboys to get rabid -- and angry -- regardless of what it is.

I'm holding judgement until closer to launch. When people let they hype get the best of them, they end up feeling that good games are terrible because they don't live up to the lofty expectations that they can never meet. If Battlefront can evoke the same feeling that the original ones did, but on this generation of consoles, it will fully meet my expectations. Will it look like the trailer? Probably not, but again, that's why I understand that we'll see more about the game later, and I'll hold judgement until then.
I am fine with no dedicated single-player or campaign styled mode. That's not what the Battlefront series is about. It's about those massive battles and taking part in the huge galactic war and iconic events in Star Wars history. And no space combat isn't an issue. That's a whole different beast that would take massively different levels of programming to put in. Planetary combat with vehicular dogfighting overhead is enough for me, especially if they focus on making that the best it can be. There can be another game with dedicated space combat.

With the game prioritising a frame rate of 60fps, I don't think it will be looking *that* good. With that said, I am happy to see that DICE has their priorities in order, with smooth gameplay being much more important than visual fidelity.
I'll need to hear more about the game before deciding whether or not it can deliver. We've only seen a snippet of "game engine" footage, so there's not too much to go on. I was a massive fan of Pandemic's Star Wars Battlefront games, so I'm hoping DICE nails it.

I think it is still too early to say anything about what Battlefront will look like given what we have seen so far, but I think it is possible to see something slightly similar when it launches. It will be a safe bet to assume that we wont be seeing animations that look anything like that, nor will the camera be as action oriented, as gameplay will always require a middle ground for usability. The textures should be able to pull of a similar aesthetic to a point, but I think physics will be a more noticeable issue in gameplay, as opposed what is hidden within this Hollywood style edit. If you watch closely in the trailer you will see that most of the trees also seem to ignore explosions, which is odd, but given the amount of time before launch, and this just being a trailer, I am not worried just yet.

While Battlefront might look as good as it did in the trailer if it is run on a high-end PC, I highly doubt it will look like that on PS4. It might look comparable, but I would be very surprised if it looked that polished.
It is a little disappointing that the new Battlefront won't have space battles, but I think it will be worth getting for Star Wars fans. Guess we will find out in November!

First off, I am a huge Star Wars fan. It has been a long time since there was a great Star Wars game on consoles and I am really hoping this will be the next one.
The trailer was somewhat disappointing for me. The trailer for The Force Awakens was real. I will see those scenes in the movie, they look amazing now and have left me psyched to see the movie in December. The trailer for Battlefront wasn't real. That's not how the gameplay will look, that's not how the camera will move and the graphics won't be that good. I'm tired of seeing these amazing teasers then being let down when I pop the game into my PS4 (or PS3 before).
I remain hopeful but I am tempering expectations until I see more. Also, not as disappointed by the lack of single-player as I am the lack of space battles. I guess there's always DLC...
