Deus Ex Devs Respond to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Ember Trailer

The recent Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 teaser trailer, which explored technological advancements, had a lot of people likening the theme to that of Deus Ex‘s. The team behind Deus Ex decided to have a little fun with Treyarch on Twitter, and here’s what followed:

Don’t worry, though. There’s no animosity between the two parties, and Eidos-Montréal’s Community Manager was quick to clear that up on NeoGAF. He wrote:

Hey people – Eidos-Montréal community manager here! Just wanted to say that we are indeed simply having fun with this. There is no animosity whatsoever with the Call of Duty guys and we are looking forward to see what they do with those transhumanism themes.

It also goes to show how relevant and common these themes are becoming in today’s world. There isn’t a single day going by without a piece of news about a breakthrough in robotics, prosthetics and such. Exciting times!
