I never thought that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and One Piece really had anything in common — until now, that is.
Apparently, Uncharted 4 is subtitled “The Pirate King and the Last Treasure” in Japan, causing Reddit to explode. If you don’t know why, Reddit user Gerolux sums it up pretty well on a thread about the whole thing.
The Japanese subtitle is the premise for a manga called One Piece. In One Piece, the previous pirate king left a vast fortune to be found. Who ever finds it will become the pirate king.
So, there you have it. Somehow, the Japanese version of Uncharted 4 has found a way to link Uncharted fans and One Piece fans together. Awesome stuff.
