Xbox Founder Says PS4 Wins the Console War “By a Nose”

The man who led the team that created Xbox, Ed Fries, has said that he thinks Microsoft has lost the latest console war to Sony “by a nose.” According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Fries said that the current battle for sales is slowing down, but that things could change with the release of virtual reality and augmented reality devices.

He went on to say that at the moment, it doesn’t look like Microsoft will be able to close the sales gap despite its recent price cuts that saw sales improve.

The two sides say nice things about each other; they compliment each other’s cool games. It looks to me like most of the excitement is kind of over in the console war for this generation. It looks like Microsoft is gaining a little traction back, but PS4 got a really early lead that will be hard for Microsoft to catch.

But Fries still thinks that Sony will be only slightly ahead of Microsoft at the end of the day.

What do you make of Fries remarks?
