Far Cry 4 Devs and Bungie Raising Funds for Nepal Earthquake Victims

The developers behind Far Cry 4, Destiny and EVE Online are raising funds for the victims of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that has killed over 6,000 people in Nepal. Ubisoft in particular has close connections with the country as Far Cry 4‘s development team spent a considerable amount of time there in order to seek inspiration for the game.

Ubisoft’s Canadian Red Cross page reads:

Having spent the last few years working on Far Cry 4, a game heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, it is with heavy hearts that the Far Cry family pulls together to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross, who are mobilizing their traveling hospital team to Kathmandu to offer support and medical assistance.

Elsewhere Bungie has started its own campaign to help raise some funds, and is offering a special edition Destiny Nepal Aid t-shirt that is available for pre-order on the Bungie Store for $24.99. All profits will go to charities that are currently engaged in helping the earthquake victims.

EVE Online players can also help as CCP is accepting donations that will go to the Icelandic Red Cross relief campaign. For each PLEX that players donate until May 15, CCP will give $15 to the organization. You can give your donation to a new “CCP PLEX for Good” character.

Our thoughts go out to Nepal.
