Sony Renews Powers for Season 2, Will Debut in 2016

Having just wrapped up a 10-episode season one, Powers is coming back for season two, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed today.

Based on the Powers comic from Brian Michael Bendis, Powers is available exclusively on the PlayStation Network, with PlayStation Plus members receiving full access to the first season. According to the announcement, you can expect season two in 2016.

The most-watched series premiere on PlayStation Network, Powers’ first season was discussed by John Koller, Sony Computer Entertainment America VP of Platforms Marketing:

The reception to Powers has been incredible and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind. We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of Powers.

Expect the second season to include more fan-favorite characters and storylines.
