Rock Band 4 May Suffer Instrument Shortages, Video Shows How Rock Band Songs are Made

It might not be that easy to get instruments to actually play Rock Band 4 when it releases later this year.

Speaking with IGN, Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak mentioned that the demand for Rock Band 4 has been high, and that could lead to a shortage of instruments for the game.

Demand from both retailers and consumers for product has exceeded out expectations.

While we’ll do everything we can to meet demand, the realities of manufacturing and getting hardware on shelves means that we can’t guarantee hardware for everyone on day one without a pre-order.

For those looking for new instruments, pre-ordering ahead of launch will guarantee that you’ll be able to start a band and rock the world with your family and friends this holiday season.

It is not yet known if PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 controllers will work with the upcoming music game when it releases later this year for PS4 and Xbox One, but Harmonix has said that it is working hard to make them compatible.

In other Rock Band 4 news, Harmonix has recently released a video showing off how they create songs for the game. The fairly short video can be seen above, and it provides some fascinating information on the inner-workings of the music game. Be sure to check out some new screenshots from Rock Band 4 here.
