Update:
According to data received by Videogamer, Project CARS sold 63% on PS4, 31% on Xbox One, and 6% on PC at retail.
Original Story:
Debuting last week in the UK, Project CARS from Slightly Mad Studios finished in first place, pushing Mortal Kombat X to third. Project CARS also becomes the first racing sim to be #1 since GRID 2 in week 22, 2013.
There isn’t much to talk about within the top 20, but outside the top 20, Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush on Wii U debuted in 21st, while Puzzle & Dragons Z + Super Mario Edition on 3DS placed in 32nd. Even more interesting, 2010’s Skate 3 was up 15%, re-entered the top 40 in 38th, and, as Gfk notes, “Units sold in 2014 and 2015 so far are close to 25% of entire lifetime sell-through.”
