Nowhere Studios’ cinematic puzzle platformer, Monochroma, is no longer coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Wii U or Ouya. Instead, the game will only be released on the Xbox One for now. The title met its Kickstarter goal of $80,000 and was supposed to be released on all of the aforementioned platforms alongside PC, Linux and Mac.
The update, which informs backers of this development, is set to private but according to Destructoid, Nowhere Studios has said that there’s a “small chance” of the game coming to the PS4 if sales on the Xbox One are positive. Users are reporting that backers were offered a choice between a refund and DRM-free copies or Steam keys.
Although funded successfully, Monochroma (PC) was met with mediocre reviews upon launch, which probably resulted in low sales so this news doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
