The Witcher 3 Game-Crashing Bugs Discovered, Here’s How to Avoid Them

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt just came out this week, and it is a truly fantastic game. However, it does have some less than fantastic bugs that seem to be affecting PlayStation 4 users.

There seems to be three large issues that have been plaguing PS4 users. The first one, which numerous users on Reddit and other online forums have been complaining about, is an infinite loading screen that appears directly after the intro cutscene. Apparently, some users have been able to get rid of this issue by deleting the game and re-downloading it, so you might want to try that if you have run into this bug.

The second game-crashing bug in The Witcher 3 on PS4 can be found while playing the in-game card game Gwent. Some users, myself included, found out the hard way that when trying to “pass,” the game simply crashes and needs to be rebooted. I tried passing a number of times, and each time the game crashed. There doesn’t seem to be a workaround, other than just not passing at all in the game.

The third big issue plaguing The Witcher 3 on PS4 seems to come around in the tutorial section of the game (the very beginning of the game). Some people apparently just get stuck in the tutorial mode, as the video below indicates. Again, there doesn’t seem to be a workaround, so hopefully this will just get patched soon.

Have you run into any of these bugs? Or do you have a workaround for any of them?
