Starting its life as a PlayStation 3 title, developer Supermassive Games announced today that Until Dawn will release for the PlayStation 4 on August 25 in North America and August 26 in Europe.
As they enter the final stages of development, we’ll hear more about the game in the coming months. Today, you can check out the release date trailer above, while also learning about new cast member Peter Stormare below:
Peter Stormare, who you might recognise from Prison Break, The Big Lebowski and (more recently) Arrow! He gave some incredibly powerful performances in the motion capture studio and you can tell from the end result in the game that he had some fun with the character. We couldn’t be happier to have him in the games and I can’t wait for you to see him in full flow.
If you wish to pre-order Until Dawn, you’ll receive a special bonus scene for free. As Supermassive explains, “This exclusive scene sees Matt and Emily, a new couple, out on the mountain – but it’s not long until they start to suspect they aren’t alone.”
In Europe, Until Dawn will be available in three different editions: standard edition, extended edition, and the steelbook edition. Specific details are still to come, but the extra editions will only be carried in these countries: UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Iceland, Israel, Cyrpus, Malta.
Will you be getting Until Dawn this August?
