Japanese Sales Chart: The Witcher 3 on PS4 Debuts Strong In First, PS4 Wins Another Slow Week

After finishing first in the UK during its launch week, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt also placed first in Japan, moving over 67,000 copies on PlayStation 4 and defeating the second place title, Minecraft on PlayStation Vita, by 55,000.

Aside from The Witcher 3’s debut it was a slow week again in Japan, with all but three titles selling under 7,000.

Hardware, meanwhile, saw the PS4 rising by a hundred units to 12,096 and retaining first place, while the PS Vita jumped up to second, moving 11,352 units.

Here’s how each system sold, along with the top 20 selling retail games in Japan from May 18 – 24, 2015, according to Media Create:
