According to a Kotaku report today, GameStop employees told customers last week that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X have been delayed from their Summer 2015 release window and will now come out in Fall 2015.
Previously, GameStop’s website listed MKX for last-gen consoles as coming out on June 2. Now they have a placeholder date of December 31, 2015, with Amazon also showing the same December 31 release date.
Warner Bros has yet to issue a comment about the potential delay of Mortal Kombat X on PS3 and Xbox 360.
On Twitter last week, before this report of a delay to Fall 2015 popped up, NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon briefly talked about the last-gen versions:
“@Jayy_Hussle @noobde Quick question. Will PS3 & 360 owners get some type of compensation for the wait? EB: I can’t imagine not.

While NetherRealm handled the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of Mortal Kombat X, High Voltage is developing the game for PS3 and 360.
If we hear anything from Warner Bros, we’ll let you know.
