In a new post on the CD Projekt Red forums, Community Lead Marcin Momot confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt update 1.04 is releasing at some point next week on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a new update coming to PC on Monday.

As he explained, the update will fix the XP glitch:

We would like to let everyone know that we are aware of the XP glitch players are reporting and we are working to have it fixed as soon as possible across all platforms (Monday for PC & patch 1.04 on consoles in the following days).

At the same time we want to shed some light on the issue. First of all, it doesn’t impact the game balance in any significant way. Also, you will be able to finish the game with your character achieving a level within the threshold we had in mind when we designed the game.

We hope this clears things up a bit. Again, rest assured, we won’t stop working on improving the game and there are more patches coming in the near future.

Further down in the thread, Momot added, “No. The XP won’t be added back for the finished quests. Sorry about this.”

On Twitter, a user highlighted the small font sizes in menus, books, and more. Momot replied, “This will be fixed in patch 1.04 for consoles. Coming soon.”

For Xbox One owners, update 1.03, which also adds the 30fps lock option, should be available today after going live earlier in the week for PS4.

When the new update comes to PS4 and Xbox One next week, we’ll let you know.
