Update:
When IGN contacted Bethesda about this listing, they replied, “We haven’t released a date.”
Original Story:
Announced earlier today, Fallout 4 could release in 2015, according to a listing by the official Bethesda Store.
In their pre-order listing for Fallout 4, the store says, “Your entire order will be held until this product becomes available. The current estimated ship date is TBA 2015.“ However, they do note, “Ship date subject to change without notice. We will always update this product page with the latest information we have.”
Since that listing went live, the date has been changed to “TBA.”
Additionally, anyone who pre-orders Fallout 4 from them will receive 20% off their next purchase on the Bethesda Store. As the details add, “A 20% off code will be emailed to you after purchase. 20% off excludes games, pre-sale, deposit, and sale items. Codes expire October 31, 2015.”
Amazon and GameStop both give Fallout 4 a placeholder date of December 31, 2015. According to GameStop’s listing for the game, it’s Bethesda’s “most ambitious game ever, and the next generation of open-world gaming.”
The “World’s Most Anticipated Game in Development at Bethesda Game Studios,” Fallout 4 will be getting its world premiere at Bethesda’s E3 2015 press conference on Sunday, June 14. Hopefully we’ll learn about a release date or release window then.
