EA Would Delay Star Wars Battlefront If It Wasn’t Right, “But That’s Not Going to Happen”

Following up on comments last month where EA said they felt good about releasing on Star Wars Battlefront on time for its November 17 launch, COO Peter Moore told MCV that they’d delay the game if there were quality concerns, but it won’t come to that.

Asked if EA would consider pushing Star Wars Battlefront, like they did with Battlefield Hardline (which was a result of the poor Battlefield 4 launch), Moore said:

Well you can’t ship it if it doesn’t work or the quality isn’t right. You just bite the bullet. Trust me, shipping Hardline in March was not the easiest thing to do from a business perspective, but it was the right thing to do from a player perspective.

While EA would have “no hesitation” delaying Battlefront if it “wasn’t right,” Moore stressed that it will launch on time:

But that’s not going to happen. The game is playable with 40 players already, and it is rock solid, so it ain’t going to happen.

Star Wars Battlefront will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. By pre-ordering, you’ll receive early access to the Battle of Jakku DLC.
