Fallout 4
Bethesda shocked quite a few fans when they announced that Fallout 4 would be releasing on November 10. The latest installment of the highly successful Fallout series is set to switch things up with voiced protagonists, an upgraded V.A.T.S. system, and a lot more. It was a perfect tease for a game that plenty of video game enthusiasts will be spending countless hours in.
Hitman
It has been a few years since Agent 47 has been in action, but the assassin is back. Simply titled Hitman , the first PlayStation 4 installment of this beloved series is getting an early December release. While Square Enix hasn't show off a ton of gameplay, the brief footage they have shown looks very promising.
Just Cause 3
While many found the highlight of Square Enix's E3 2015 offerings to be either the remake of Final Fantasy 7 or Kingdom Hearts 3 , nothing topped the ridiculous gameplay shown off for Just Cause 3 . This open-world action game looks to be unlike anything else on PlayStation 4, and we can't wait to play it!
Lego Dimensions
It took longer than expected, but LEGO is finally entering the toys-to-life market. LEGO Dimensions offers up a diverse line-up of properties ranging from beloved movies to other video games like Portal . Let's be honest, who doesn't want a miniature GLaDOS figure?
Mad Max
Avalanche Studios is having a very busy 2015. Not only is the Swedish developer delivering Just Cause 3 , they are also releasing Mad Max . Both releases seem very promising, so it looks like fans of Mad Max: Fury Road will have something great to look forward to!
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won't be the last game in the Metal Gear franchise, but it looks like it is increasingly the last with series creator Hideo Kojima's input. Thankfully, it looks like Kojima's last MGS game will end with a bang, as the title garnered significant buzz around E3. An era will end on September 1, so appreciate it if you are a fan.
Mighty No. 9
While fans of the Blue Bomber have been waiting for a new installment, Capcom instead is releasing the Mega Man Legacy Collection . While the collection seems to be made with the utmost care, it also isn't a substitute for a new experience. Thankfully, Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 is on its way to offer up a similar, but new, experience for fans later this year.
Persona 5
Despite not being shown off at E3 2015, publisher Atlus has continually confirmed that Persona 5 is coming this year for both Japan and North America. This is great news for any RPG fan! We can't wait to get our hands on the latest game in the beloved series, so we'll be dancing all night while we wait.
Rocket League
One of the big surprises of E3 2015 was developer Psyonix's Rocket Leagu e . The highly competitive game is basically soccer played with cars, and it is even more fun in practice than it sounds. Rocket League 's July 7 release date is quickly approaching, so PS4 owners won't have to wait long to play!
SOMA
As the E3 2015 trailer showed, SOMA is a game that is all about tension. If you do not like being scared, then this game is not for you. At the very least, Frictional Games' upcoming PS4 horror title should ease the pain of anyone mourning the death of Silent Hills , as it looks just as promising.
Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront may seem to be Battlefield set in space, that is okay. Actually, that is awesome. Battlefront looks to be a ton of fun for fans of Disney's film franchise, or just gamers in general! If the lines at E3 2015 was any indication, EA has one of the most anticipated games of 2015 in its line-up.
Tales of Zestiria
Persona 5 isn't the only highly anticipated JRPG coming out in 2015, as Bandai Namco is bringing over Tales of Zestiria . While the Japanese PS3 release received a mixed reception from the passionate Tales fan-base, it will be interesting to see what is in store for the PS4 version.
Trackmania Turbo
PC gamers have known for quite some time how fun the Trackmania series can be. This arcade-style time trial racer is coming to a Sony console for the first time with Trackmania Turbo . While we're not sure that the series can fully capture its ridiculous nature on consoles, we're glad to see Ubisoft trying.
Transformers: Devastation
Yes, it does seem too good to be true, but Transformers: Devastation is happening. Talented Japanese developer Platinum Games is working on the beloved Transformers series, which means that franchise might get the video game representation it has deserved. Here is to hoping that this is more Bayonetta than Legend of Korra .
Volume
Mike Bithell's highly anticipated stealth game, Volume , is coming out August 18. Taking inspiration from other titans of the stealth genre, such as Metal Gear , this looks like one of the more promising digital releases of the year. Are you ready for this retelling of Robin Hood?
