Update 4 (3:44pm PT):
Everything should be coming online now, but some users are still reporting technical difficulties.
Update 3 (12:50pm PT):
Everything is still down, with Sony adding ‘Other’ to the list of platforms affected by the PlayStation Now issues.
Update 2 (11:20am PT):
Everything listed in the images below is still down, but Sony has now added that the PlayStation Store is down on PlayStation 4 as well.
Ask PlayStation then said at 11:45am PT: “We’re aware that PSN is experiencing connectivity issues. Thank you for your patience as we investigate.”
Update (10:55am PT):
In a massive update to their PSN Status Page, Sony has confirmed that Account Management is down on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Gaming and Social is down on PS4 and PS3, PlayStation Video is down on PS4 and PS3, and the PlayStation Store is down on PS3:

Within the last fifteen minutes (at 10:30am PT/1:30pm ET), numerous people on Twitter and Reddit have reported that the PlayStation Network is down for them in locations all over the world, with some users reporting maintenance notifications.
While the PlayStation Network Status Page has yet to update, the Ask PlayStation Twitter account has suggested power cycling your router:

As well, they suggest using a wired connection: “Please unplug your router for 3 minutes and restart the console, if the issue persist try using a wired connection.”
Bungie also tweeted: “We are aware of issues impacting PlayStation players’ ability to connect to Destiny and are currently investigating. Standby for updates.”
