Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 PS4 Beta Starts on August 19

With the new Call of Duty partnership between Sony and Activision, developer Treyarch announced that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta begins on August 19, exclusively for PlayStation 4 owners.

You can gain access to the beta by pre-ordering Black Ops 3, but remember that the beta is only available on current-gen platforms and won’t be coming to PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

If you pre-ordered Black Ops 3 in stores, the beta code should be on your receipt and can be entered over here. If you pre-ordered digitally, “You don’t need one! Code redemption is not necessary for pre-purchases through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Store, or Steam. You are automatically validated to participate in the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta.”

Tomorrow, July 9, should be a busy day for Black Ops 3, with Treyarch and Activision unveiling the Zombies Mode and Collector’s Editions at Comic-Con.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 releases on November 6 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
