Ubisoft Isn’t Commenting on the Release Dates of For Honor or Ghost Recon: Wildlands Yet

During E3 2015, Ubisoft announced For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Instead of giving us a launch window though, the official Ubisoft blog lists each title with a “TBA” release date.

In the Ubisoft post-earnings call yesterday, CFO Alain Martinez was asked if they would both be released in fiscal year 2017 (April 2016 – March 2017). He explained that “for the line-up of fiscal year 17, we didn’t comment about For Honor and Ghost Recon whether it’s going to be next year or not. We will do that when we have more visibility.”

While it doesn’t appear as though Ubisoft wants to comment on a release date too early in the development cycle, CEO Yves Guillemot said in the call that For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands offer “visibility” of their line-up past this current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2016. So, if they do release in 2016, don’t expect them until after April 2016.

Calling the reaction to both titles “instantly positive,” Guillemot says the new open-world setting of Wildlands “significantly broadened the franchise potential.”

Are you hoping to see For Honor and Wildlands next year?
